Registration

The Virginia Victim Assistance Network (the Network) is pleased to announce open registration for “Connect, Collaborate, Innovate: A Coalition Building Forum for Victim Witness Directors, to be held March 24 - 25, 2020 at the Hotel Roanoke in Roanoke, Virginia.

About the Forum:

This 1 ½ -day, interactive Forum is designed exclusively for Victim Witness Directors to come together in a collaborative setting to network, learn from each other, and ultimately, to further develop and strengthen victim witness partnerships and coalitions across Virginia.

The tentative agenda includes facilitated round table discussions, coalition building activities, and a networking lunch and evening reception on the first day.  The Forum’s logistics and agenda are based on the creative suggestions and valuable insights gained from the Survey for Victim Witness Directors' Coalition-building Forum distributed in December 2019. This survey had an excellent response rate from new and seasoned victim witness directors from across Virginia.

Dress is casual, however training room temperatures can vary, so dressing in layers is the best option. A forum evaluation will be distributed to attendees after the event.

Registration:

The deadline to register is March 4, 2020. 

The registration fee is: $80/Network Members or $100/Non-Members. For more information about VVAN membership: http://vanetwork.org/get-involved/

The cost for the Forum includes breakfast and lunch on day 1, breakfast on day 2, and virtual access to any materials and resources utilized and generated during the Forum.

Lodging:

The Forum will be held at the historic Hotel Roanoke in Roanoke, Virginia.

To encourage dynamic and diverse attendance, the Network will reserve and pay for overnight accommodations and self-parking expenses at the Hotel Roanoke for the first 60 Victim Witness directors who register and submit registration payment on or before March 4, 2020.  Hotel accommodations and self-parking includes the evening of March 23 and March 24.  Please note that you must work or reside at least 40 miles from the Hotel Roanoke to be eligible for the overnight accommodations.

Again, lodging will be reserved and secured by the Network at the Hotel Roanoke for the evenings of March 23 and March 24 for the first 60 who register and submit registration payment on or before March 4, 2020. 

If there are more than 60 registrants, the Network will secure and pay for lodging at an overflow hotel for any additional paid registrants, as needed.  Lodging information will be emailed separately to these registrants.  The deadline to register for any lodging to be paid by the Network is March 4, 2020.

Parking:

Self-parking will be covered for ALL who register and submit registration payment by the payment deadline of March 4, 2020

TRAINING REGISTRATION CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY

Requests for training registration cancellations and refunds must be submitted in writing to Kim Flournoy DiJoseph at kim.dijoseph@vanetwork.org no later than March 4, 2020.  A $10.00 Processing fee will be assessed, after MARCH 4, NO REFUNDS WILL BE CONSIDERED OR ISSUED.
