Join us beginning on March 9 for this free guided meditation series for advocates facilitated by Kim Flournoy DiJoseph, MSW. There is no obligation required - just show up when it feels right for you. We encourage you to prioritize yourself.

Sessions will be held via Zoom on Wednesdays from 12:00 to 12:25 pm from March 9 - March 30.

When we think of being physically centered, we often think of the center of gravity within and being well-balanced in our bodies. It's similar emotionally, for our inner states -- being centered on the inner, non-physical plane, means to be balanced and at peace within...an emotional and spiritual state of equilibrium. From this space, we accept the good and the bad in life, in experiences around us and inside us. From this space, we have a deep understanding that everything is always changing around us, but that we can always return back to our own calm, peaceful centers whenever we wish.

Practicing being centered reminds us that while we may work in chaotic or traumatic spaces, we ourselves are not those spaces. Doing victim work from this centered perspective is an emotional and energetic boundary that keeps us, our hearts, safe, yet also open to our clients. Practicing being centered is critical to being able to show up fully for victims, and to be able to reflect back to them, in our energy and words and presence, that peace indeed does exist among the chaos
