About the Forum:

The event will invite Victim/Witness Directors from across the Commonwealth of Virginia to explore sustainability beyond program funding and connect with fellow Directors for peer support. Our goal is to create an environment that encourages learning and strengthens partnerships.

Directors will receive updates from the Department of Corrections; gain insights from experienced peers on effective collaborative advocacy; and engage in discussion about vicarious trauma and wellness. There will be multiple opportunities for small group discussion. Directors will also have the opportunity to hear from DCJS, including a moderated Q+A session on grant reporting, funding, and CIMS. There will also be opportunities for networking and roundtable discussions.

The event will begin at 8:30 am on Tuesday, September 13 and conclude at 2:30 pm on Wednesday, September 14.

Registration:

$125/members and $150/non-members.

Registration closes September 6.

The Forum will be held at the historic Hotel Roanoke in Roanoke, Virginia. There is a nightly group rate of $122 for the nights of September 12-14, not including taxes and fees. Please note the group rate is only available until August 12.  Reservations can be made here.
