Service Dogs in the Courtroom

We have a civil protective order case coming up in Circuit Court and the petitioner suffers from PTSD and uses a service dog.  We are anticipating having difficulty with permission for the dog to accompany the petitioner during the hearing.  Has anyone experienced a similar problem and how did you overcome it?  Thanks for any suggestions.

Service dogs have been allowed into our courtroom. They had their service dog "jackets" on, as well as documentation stating the reasons needed. If they are true service dogs you may not even know they are there with the expert training they receive. It was cleared with Courtroom Security and the Judge.
