For more than 35 years, VVAN has served as a statewide voice for crime victims and the professionals who serve them. Our Annual Conference brings together victim advocates, victim/witness professionals, law enforcement, prosecutors, nonprofit organizations, and other allied professionals from across Virginia for several days of education, networking, and collaboration.

This year’s conference will provide attendees with opportunities to learn from experienced professionals and subject-matter experts on issues affecting crime victims and the delivery of victim services. Your sponsorship will help VVAN continue providing high-quality training and professional development to the individuals who work every day to support victims and their families.

We offer several sponsorship opportunities designed to provide organizations with meaningful visibility throughout the conference while demonstrating their commitment to Virginia’s victim services community. Sponsorship benefits may include recognition in conference materials, signage, social media and other promotional opportunities, as well as opportunities to connect directly with conference attendees.

We would be grateful for your consideration of a sponsorship or other contribution to help make this year’s conference a success. Your support directly contributes to VVAN’s ability to provide training, resources, and professional development opportunities to Virginia’s victim assistance community.

If you are interested in learning more about sponsorship opportunities, please contact Christie Johanning, at christie.johanning@vanetwork.org.  We would be happy to discuss the options available and identify an opportunity that best aligns with your organization’s goals.

Thank you for considering supporting the Virginia Victim Assistance Network and the professionals who work to ensure that victims and survivors across Virginia have access to meaningful assistance and support.

    About the Conference:

The Network's Annual Conference on Crime Victims' Issues is a two-day conference with a pre-conference institute on Tuesday for advocates, victim services professionals, and allied partners to learn more about best practices, innovative approaches, and current trends in the field. We look forward to seeing everyone in Norfolk!

We're thrilled to share one of this year's featured speakers:

KEYNOTE – Bill Thomas, Mind Over Murder Podcast

Bill’s sister, Cathy Thomas, was one of the victims in the Colonial Parkway murders. His podcast began around the case and his experience navigating the investigation over the 40 years it remained unsolved. With the recent identification of Alan Wade Wilmer, Bill has a unique perspective on long-term investigations, communication with victims and families, and cold case advocacy.
