    About the Forum:

The Virginia Victim Assistance Network’s annual Victim/Witness Directors’ Forum is the premier gathering for the leaders of Virginia’s Victim/Witness Assistance Programs—a dedicated space to connect, align, and fortify advocacy across the Commonwealth.
This year’s forum blends essential operational updates with strategic planning for the future. Key focus areas include:

    • VVAN’s Past, Present, & Future: Reflecting on our shared impact, assessing current strengths, and charting the strategic roadmap ahead.
    • Legislative Priorities: Aligning on critical policy updates and advocacy strategies to better protect and support crime victims.
    • Virginia Retirement System (VRS): Navigating the latest updates and benefits to support your program's workforce.
    • Updates from the Field: Exploring emerging trends, systemic shifts, and key administrative developments impacting programs statewide.

More than just a meeting, the Forum is an invaluable opportunity to collaborate with fellow directors, tackle systemic challenges, and return to your community empowered to lead.

The event will begin at 9:00 am on Monday, September 14 and conclude at 5:00 pm on Tuesday, September 15.

    Registration:

    $350/members and $400/non-members.

    Registration closes August 14.

The registration fee includes a full breakfast, lunch, and refreshments each day of the Forum.  Additionally, there will be a cocktail reception on September 14 with light fare provided.

    Lodging and Meals:

The Forum will be held at The Graduate by Hilton in Charlottesville, VA. There is a nightly group rate of $136 for the nights of September 13-15, not including taxes and fees. Complimentary self-parking is included. Please note the group rate is only available until July 31, 2026.  Reservations can be made here.
